Venue

The venue for the tournament is the picturesque hamlet of Tal-y-Coed in Monmouthshire on the eastern edge of South Wales. Tal-y-Coed is situated approximately half way between the towns of Abergavenny to the west, and Monmouth to the east.

The venue was chosen because of the near access of the administration, camping, marquee and practice butts area to the expansive Tal-y-Coed woods. The woods are where the courses will be situated and they are literally across the road from the tournament headquarters.

Tal-y-Coed woods are approximately 106 acres in area, meaning that there is sufficience space to lay on as many courses as required. The woods are situated on terrain which is hilly in some parts and gentle slopes in other parts.

The Surrounding Area
The vicinity of Tal-y-Coed is steeped in natural beauty with the rolling hills and greenery that Wales is famous for. It is close to major road links from all major airports, ports and cities.
